ABSTRACT

The Energy-ECS project, launched in June 2021, aims to develop smart and secure energy solutions for future mobility, with a particular emphasis on the advancement of e-mobility as a key component of the green energy transition. This special session is meant to address the various use cases being implemented as part of the Energy-ECS project. These include, but are not limited to, the implementation of autonomous drone ecosystems, the integration of smart containers in intramodal transport, the utilization of smart mobility solutions, the implementation of vehicle-to-grid technologies, the incorporation of self-powered systems in tires, and the advancement of autonomous driving of electric vehicles to charging stations. Special attention will be dedicated to the metrological and sensing challenges that arise from the implementation of these novel e-mobility concepts, such as sensor principles, signal conditioning, energy harvesting, vision and AI for autonomous driving, assessment of grid stability, and monitoring of battery chargers.
